What You
Should Bring To The Store
There are many different things you need to consider when
improving your home, whether it be remodeling or re-carpeting your home. Here
are a few guidelines and tips we've compiled to help you be prepared to go
shopping for your flooring needs.
1. Financial- Have an idea of how much you have to
spend. Spending too much for anything is unwise, but knowing how much you do
want to keep it around is a smart way to go into any deal. Need Financing?

2. Environment- Do you have kids? Pets? Is there lots of
traffic in your home? Is your house large or small? Do you entertain a lot?
Like it or not, your flooring is the victim of gravity and abuse every day. It
is designed to take whatever it is you throw at it (almost anything) but if you
have answers to questions like the ones above, we can help steer you in
the direction of products designed especially for these problem areas.
3. Time- Be prepared to come in and spend time
looking. We have trained salespeople who will ask you questions regarding
styles, colors, types of flooring, and be able to show you samples of almost
anything you can imagine. Don't be in a rush, make your selection when you find
just the right product. Also, knowing when you need it by helps us to
determine what products can be shipped timely and scheduled for installation so
you are not inconvenienced.
Most importantly, don't be afraid to ask questions. Part
of our job is to help you make a smart choice that looks good and lasts a good,
long time. Isn't your house worth it??
What You Should Know Before The
Installers Arrive ... Please Be Ready!
1. If a time for installation is mentioned, we will make
every effort to arrive on time, however, because conditions vary with each job,
we cannot guarantee a specific hour of arrival. If you are not the first
job scheduled for the day, no time will be given for arrival due to the
complexities which may be encountered on earlier scheduled jobs.
2. Our installers usually do your entire home at one
time. They will gladly move furniture, but only after it has been cleared of
breakable items. Be careful to remove ashtrays, vases, and dishes from
dining room and living rooms cabinets, tables, and hutches. if you have items
of specific value, such as artwork or antiques, please remove them from the
room before installers arrive. we will not move grand pianos, hospital beds,
pool tables, etc. Please make other arrangements.
3. In bedrooms, strip the beds and remove all items
form the closet floors. We're sure you'll understand that we cannot handle
waterbeds please disassemble and remove before installation.
4. If you're ordering kitchen or utility area carpeting,
please disengage the washer and dryer if they're to be moved. Also,
refrigerator ice-makers should be disconnected. we are not responsible for the
ice-maker connections. we recommend calling a licensed plumber.
5. If your existing carpeting is laid under quarter
round, please remove this molding. Often the molding is aged and dried out, and
while we can removed it, we cannot be responsible for breakage or
replacement.
6. If you now have wall-to-wall carpeting, our installers
will probably use your existing tack strips. if not usable, they will replace
them at no additional cost to you.
7. We will assume that we can use your power for electric
tools. If not, please notify our installation department in advance.
8. Some doors may need trimming to accommodate the
thickness of your new carpet. While the trimming is your responsibility, we
will gladly recommend a responsible craftsman if you need one.
9. Please remember, seams are not invisible. They
will be done with professional workmanship and should not be
objectionable.
10. Please pay our installers the C.O.D. balance upon
completion of their work. If no one will be home upon completion of the
installation, please make arrangements for prior payment of the outstanding
balance.
